Different skin and hair characteristic that effect the efficiency of laser and light application. The Fitzpatrick scale. Treating skin type IV and above with laser and light. Maintaining professional and ethical Laser / IPL service. Safe and effective use of laser and light. Pre and post care advice for laser and light application. Intrinsic and extrinsic effects on the skin that influence the application of laser and light. Hydration of the skin and the Laser/ IPL treatment. GP referral and awareness of prescribed medications that may affect the laser / light service. Good practice for the best outcome and client experience.
